Who We Are
The Asian LGBTQ+ Impact Fund (ALIF) was established by community advocates, healthcare professionals, and civic leaders dedicated to advancing equity, health, and leadership for Asian LGBTQ+ communities across Canada.
Our advisory team brings decades of lived experience and deep networks in community health, non-profit governance, and social justice. We direct strategic philanthropic grants to grassroots organizations and high-impact initiatives where targeted funding is needed most.
Our Governance Structure
ALIF operates as a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) hosted under the Toronto Foundation. This partnership pairs independent community grantmaking with premier institutional security:
Community-Led Grant Direction
Our donor advisors evaluate community needs, identify vetted charitable initiatives, and guide grant allocationsUse this space to add a short description.
Independent Financial Management:
he Toronto Foundation holds all fund capital, manages investment portfolios, and issues official Canadian tax receipts directly to donors
Fiduciary Separation
Donor advisors never hold or disburse funds directly; all transactions are strictly administered and audited by the Toronto Foundation in compliance with Canada Revenue Agency guidelinesspace to add a short description.
